TAUFIK BATISAH IS SINGAPORE IDOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know i've never posted anything on Singapore Idol before. EVER. But unbeknownst to the rest of the world (cept my family), I have been religiously following EVERY SINGLE EPISODE OF IT. And ever since the 2nd episode, I've been secretly supporting Taufik Batisah. I know what you're thinking. Eileen, you're just friggin hopping onto the bandwagon!!
I'm NOT.
Like, I said, I've been rooting for Taufik ever since his appearance on SI (excluding the audition). Ooh that green jumper. That smile. That friggin smile (Sylvester's nothing compared to his). Those pearly whites. THOSE EYELASHES. THEYRE SO BLACK AND SMOKY AND....HOT. HOT HOT HOT.
Voice also. have you seen him with his rendition of Yeah(by Usher)? Sucked right? But people. Compare then to NOW. The ReasonSmack, ain't it? Realization hits you. HE'S IMPROVED SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. WHAT A GREAT LEAP!!!
THAT IS SO APPEAING.
This is a short speech writing piece i did in TLL on Who's My Singapore Idol. Note that this was written on 27/11 Saturday.
"Taufik or Sylvester?" This is the question posed by many. Never has a media event in history taken Singapore by storm such as Singapore Idol.
In my opinion, Taufik Batisah is The One. He might seem as the ordinary boy-next-door, but never judge a book by its cover. The versatile R&B crooner has touched the hearts of countless people with his marvellous voice. He has managed to reach the high notes of numerous songs flawlessly and totally deserves the support of his fans as well as [*sharp intake of breath*] the Singapore Idol judges for his laudable performances.
Yet, that is not the most important. What makes him a cut above the rest is his drive. Compare him to his first appearance on The Idol stage, and one will see the difference. Without a doubt, Taufik has made commendable improvement during the past six months in the competition.
As for Wednesday night, I strongly believe that we can expect nothing but the best from Taufik Batisah.

(will do an Idol report tomorrow on the finals. Not only on Sly and Taufik but also on the other 10 finalists and Dick Lee. For now, nights~!)
